Coinciding with the introduction of the 2015 A7 Sportback, Audi has taken the wraps off the hotter S7 derivative which has also received a mild exterior restyle. It takes a keen eye to spot the differences between the 2015MY and the pre-facelift version but everyone should notice the matrix LED headlights which will be available at an additional cost and will boast dynamic turn signals.
Moving at the back of the car, the facelifted S7 Sportback has slightly different exhaust pipes and a reshaped bumper while the cabin can now be configured with new materials. Some examples would have to be the Beaufort walnut inlay, different aluminum inserts, five hues for the seat, as well as Valcona leather upholstery.
Naturally, the S7 has the most powerful engine from the A7 family as it comes with a 4.0 TFSI V8 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine developing an impressive 450 PS (331 kW). Aside from being powerful, the eight-cylinder engine manages to be quite economical as well for such a large motor as it comes with cylinder on-demand technology which reduces fuel consumption to 9.3 liters / 100 km with CO2 emissions of 215 g/km.
Those who select the optional adaptive air suspension will receive a firmer setup in comparison to the pre-facelift S7 Sportback which means the car should prove to be more agile around the corners.
The 2015 Audi S7 Sportback facelift will go on sale late this summer from a base price of 82,300 euros in Germany.
