Most Audi enthusiasts are incredibly excited about the prospect of the all-new Audi RS6 Avant (which is finally coming to America!). Can you blame them (us)? It’s a 591 hp twin-turbocharged V8-powered wagon with muscular looks and a fancy new suspension. We can’t wait. But what if you want an RS6 that’s a bit more special? Maybe one that was previously owned by a Formula One driver?
F1 driver Kimi Raikkonen’s Audi RS6 Avant is currently up for sale and it’s going to fetch a pretty penny. Sure, it’s the previous-generation RS6, not the newest one, but that’s still a great car. Plus, Raikkonen’s isn’t stock and it’s been owned by a genuine F1 driver. So its value should remain pretty solid.
At the moment, Raikkonen’s Audi RS6 Avant is listed for €125,000 (about $138,850), which is about what the new car will cost when it goes one sale. Still, it’s hard to argue with Raikkonen’s star power that comes with this RS6.
It runs on more than just start-power, though. Its 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 has been tuned to make 680 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. So it should be monstrously fast. It also wears new wheels, which look really good on the Audi RS6 Avant. All of this should make it more appealing to enthusiasts but there are those that want cars bone-stock that won’t like this car.
Now, we don’t know if this Raikkonen-owned Audi RS6 Avant is worth the money but it’s certainly cool to have. Personally, I’d probably rather have the new car, because it’s the better car, but if you’re a Raikkonen fan (which it’s hard not to be) or even just a casual F1 fan, this is pretty cool. Plus, it might hold its value well, being attached to a genuine F1 driver. That would make owning it much nicer, knowing that you could actually make money on it.
