The UK-spec Audi RS4 Avant is being showcased in a new video showing some of the highlights of the high-performance wagon. The model was originally unveiled in March 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show and it’s available in UK at a starting price of £56,545. Its heart and soul is a hand-built V8 4.2-liter FSI engine generating 450 PS (331 kW) and a peak torque of 430 Nm (317 lb-ft).
As far as performances are concerned, the Audi RS4 Avant needs 4.7 seconds to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and hits an electronically-limited 155 mph (250 km/h) but the speed limiter can be optionally removed at an additional cost to increase the top speed to 174 mph (280 km/h). Power is sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system through an S tronic transmission granting a combined fuel economy of 26.4 mpg UK with corresponding CO2 emissions of 249 g/km. In the city, the Audi RS4 Avant returns 19.3 mpg UK while in the extra urban cycle it does 33.2 mpg UK.
For more money, UK buyers can opt for a sports package priced at £2,250 or a black styling kit adding £465 to the vehicle’s final price tag. Metallic and pearl effect paints start at £615 while crystal ones kick off at £865. 19-inch alloy wheels are standard but 20-inch rims can be had from £1,250.
