Chris Harris has managed to sell his 2009 Audi S4 Avant for which he asked £13,000. As you can see from the attached images, the bodywork has certainly seen better days but as Chris Harris himself mentions, “Never judge the mechanical health of a car by the condition of its coachwork.” The wheels are also in a pretty bad shape and there’s a “god-awful creaking” coming from the rear suspension. For 10,000 miles it was used as a press car in UK so it was obviously trashed by a lot of journalists, including Chris Harris.
It was then driven by his wife who used to travel with the family’s two large retrievers so the interior cabin probably smells a bit funny, even though an “amateur detailer” tried to get rid of the odors. The Audi S4 Avant was later used as a camera car and got bigger front brakes as well as a larger rear anti-roll bar.
In its current shape, the hot wagon is at its third gearbox and according to the listing it’s brand new and is working with the standard configuration of the engine, unlike the previous two transmissions which had to handle more power from an upgraded specification of the motor.
It’s very well equipped as it comes with a rear differential, carbon fiber interior trim and Bang & Olufsen sound system. Chris Harris asked £13,000 and in the end he managed to sell the car, but we don’t know the final transaction price.
