Check out this massive photo gallery of the Audi e-tron in Abu Dhabi

Journalists are just wrapping up their trips to Abu Dhabi to test drive the new Audi e-tron SUV and we’ve been learning a lot about it. One of the more exciting parts of that press event, at least for those of us who didn’t go, has been the photos. Audi released a massive photo gallery of the e-tron from Abu Dhabi and it’s filled with some awesome shots.

We get to see the Audi e-tron in a variety of environments, from city centers to desert sands. What’s awesome is that the e-tron looks good in both. It looks like a high-tech luxury car (because it is one) in the cities of Abu Dhabi, which is impressive considering how beautiful and luxurious the city is, and it looks equally at home shooting rooster tails of sand in the air in the desert.

Let’s be real, though, it’s the desert shots you wanna see. Seeing the high-tech e-tron kicking sand around in the desert is delightfully incongruous and how all EVs should be marketed from now on. Part of the reason why gear-heads are bored by EVs is because there’s an air of responsibility to them and car enthusiasm and responsibility don’t exactly fit. There’s nothing responsible about wasting energy flogging around in the desert, though. Which is why it’s fun.

It also shows off what the Audi e-tron can do. With its advanced battery cooling tech and powerful electric motors, it’s capable of flogging through the sand for quite some time and it won’t overheat or bog down, like other electric cars would.

This photo gallery also lets us see how good looking the Audi e-tron is. It’s not the prettiest SUV of all time but it might be the best looking SUV in Audi’s stable and that’s impressive. The interior is also lovely and shown in great detail here. So check out this simply massive photo gallery (if you have time, it’s over 300 photos) and think about the fun you can have with an electric SUV.
