One of the hottest products from Ingolstadt on sale today is the brand new 2015 Audi TTS which was originally introduced back in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Through this video we get the chance to hear the low grunt provided by the car’s 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged gasoline engine which pumps out 310 PS (228 kW) and a peak torque of 380 Nm (280 lb-ft).
The vehicle was spotted somewhere on the streets of Budapest in Hungary’s capital showing how the angular design of the second generation model has been enhanced for the new car. It’s most definitely an evolutionary rather than revolutionary design and although not that many changes have occurred, the 2015 Audi TTS manages to look quite fresh.
It rides on the MQB platform and in the TTS quattro S tronic configuration it does the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4.7 seconds before topping out at an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). This TTS variant is 10mm lower than the regular car and tips the scales at 1,230 kg (2,711 lbs) which makes it 50 kg (110 lbs) lighter than the previous model.
The 2015 Audi TTS adopts a MacPherson front suspension and a rear four-link setup while stopping power at the front comes from 338mm ventilated disc brakes. Lastly, inside the cabin there’s a Bang & Olufsen sound system with a 14-channel amplifier and 12 loudspeakers.
