A brand new S8 has just arrived at Audi Lemauviel Exclusive and the dealer was kind enough to share some pics with the menacing black performance sedan. This is actually one of the most expensive S8 units out there as it appears to have just about all the bells and whistles, including a Bang & Olufsen sound system, electric seats and a fancy rear seat entertainment system featuring two tablets.
In France, the S8 kicks off at €135,660, but the fancy B&O sound system is an extra €6,500 and the two 10.2-inch tablets cost €4,430 while the other optional features jack up the price even further. The car also might have some tweaks from ABT judging by the sticker on the rear end, so it’s safe to say we’re dealing with a very exclusive S8 that’s only topped in desirability by the recently introduced S8 Plus.
A brand new A8 is programed to go on sale early 2017 which means that a successor to the current S8 will likely be out sometime in 2018 and it will be interesting to see whether Audi will decide to finally come out with a full-blown RS8 to go head to head with the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. It should be mentioned BMW has already announced the new 7-Series will not spawn an M7 as they say it would be a niche model and those very few customers will still have the option to contact Alpina for a higher-performance version.
