For the fifth time in a row, Audi was the Official Automotive Partner of the Emmy Awards. It was the 67th edition of the Television Academy event and for this year’s event they brought the A3 Sportback e-tron quattro which represents the company’s first ever production plug-in hybrid. For this occasion, Audi has rolled out several ads in United States with their frugal model, including a commercial called “New Arrival” which displays the vehicle’s performance by showing off a powerslide before back into its driveway in an eco-friendly neighborhood.
We remind you the 2016 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron starts at $37,900 in United States and according to the German premium marque it represents their first step towards an electrified future which will include the company’s first ever pure EV set to come out in 2018. Speaking about the car and the Emmy Awards, Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing at Audi of America said “The Emmy Awards is the most important night in television, so it’s only fitting that we chose to launch the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron plug-in hybrid on this national stage.”
Audi has also launched a new add for the TT called “Reality? Check.” while a comedic video entitled “Kermit Gets Set Up” has also been launched to capitalize on the Emmy season and Audi’s involvement as an Official Automotive Partner of the event.
