The brand new Audi TTS was put through its paces on the Ascari track located near Ronda, Spain. Now in its third generation, the Audi TT looks sharper than ever and the S version goes even further as not only it looks better but it also packs more punch. Seen here is a yellow example which was the star of a 0-130 km/h (0-81 mph) sprint conducted by team at Ausfahrt.tv who were curious to see how the vehicle handles the task.
Currently sitting on top of the TT range, the Audi TTS version makes use of a four-cylinder, 2.0 TFSI turbocharged gasoline engine packing an impressive 310 HP (228 kW) and a peak torque of 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) delivered to both axles as the model is equipped with a quattro all-wheel drive system. It needs just 4.6 seconds to conquer the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint before topping out at an electronically-capped 155 mph (250 km/h).
If the Audi TTS isn’t impressive enough, you might want to wait for the TT RS version which could be unveiled as early as the second half of November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It will be powered once again by the iconic 5-cylinder 2.5-liter which in this application will develop as much as 380 HP (279 kW).
