The Audi TT S Coupe and Roadster are being showcased these days at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The star of Audi’s stand at the auto event in France is without any doubt the interesting TT Sportback concept which likely signals the company’s intentions to expand the family with a third body style designed for those who prefer more practical cars.
But before that, Audi is promoting the coupe and roadster versions of the third generation TT and the ones being showcased in Paris are the hotter S versions equipped with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine developing 310 HP and a maximum torque of 380 Nm.
Fitted with this engine, the coupe will cover the 0-100 km/h run in 4.7 seconds whereas the roadster will do it 0.2s slower due to the added weight caused by the roof mechanism. Both of them have an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The Audi TT S Coupe will start reaching customers sometime this December whereas deliveries of the Roadster are scheduled to begin in February next year. The duo will be joined probably in 2016 by a third member of the TT family which if it won’t be a four-door coupe, it will likely end up taking the shape of a compact crossover.
