The Audi TT Roadster has made a comeback in a new promotional video shot in Majorca, Spain. The model entered production phase at the beginning of last November at Audi’s plant in Gyor, Hungary and is now available throughout Europe at a starting price slightly higher than its fixed roof coupe sibling. It can be had with one of the three engines available, starting with a 2.0 TFSI developing 230 HP (169 kW) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque.
Those who want a more economical ride can opt for the 2.0 TDI version which is rated at 184 HP (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) while on top of the range stands the Audi TT S Roadster which uses an uprated 2.0 TFSI unleashing 310 HP (228 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). Opt for this beefier version and the car will cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 4.9 seconds on its way onto a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) which has been electronically limited.
The Audi TT Roadster makes use of a conventional power folding fabric roof which needs ten seconds to open or close and the driver can operate the roof while on the go at speeds of up to 31 mph (50 km/h).
