Audi interior designer Artur Deponte has announced the all-new 2015 Audi TT Roadster will be introduced next month at the Paris Motor Show. He didn’t provide any other details about the car except for the fact that it will come with a neck heating system just about the same as the Airscarf installed on various roadsters from Mercedes-Benz.
Currently undergoing last-minute testing around the Nürburgring, the 2015 Audi TT Roadster will adopt a retractable soft top while the exterior design will clearly mimic the coupe, except for the antiroll bars which will be installed behind the seats.
The engine lineup will be sourced from the regular TT so there will be a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 230 PS (169 kW) in the base model and at 310 PS (228 kW) in the S variant. Clients will also get the chance to select a turbodiesel 2.0-liter outputting 184 PS (135 kW).
A front-wheel drive system will be standard but the 2015 Audi TT Roadster will also get an optional quattro all-wheel drive arrangement while gearbox choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed S tronic benefiting from launch control.
Deliveries of the 2015 Audi TT Roadster will commence either late 2014 or early 2015 and the car will cost a bit more than the equivalent coupe.
