The Audi TT offroad concept has the biggest chances of getting a production version in the near future. Several months ago, Audi confirmed plans to roll out a third body style for the all-new TT and the company is saying the vehicle in question will likely be a crossover so essentially we should expect to see something in the same vein as the TT offroad concept.
Speaking at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show this month, the company’s technical chief Ulrich Hackenberg told the media that Audi is analyzing the prospects of launching a production variant of the TT offroad concept, allroad shooting brake or for the TT Sportback. Out of all these three concepts, the biggest chances of reaching production day is the Audi TT offroad concept since studies conducted by the company have shown the crossover is the most desirable body style so it will make sense to have a high-riding TT-based compact SUV.
We should expect to see the production version sometime next year at the earliest or in 2016 and the vehicle will probably have a lot in common with the concept showcased earlier this year at the Beijing Motor Show. Needless to say, it will be a little bit more expensive than the equivalent TT Coupe / Convertible.
