The highly anticipated Audi SQ7 will likely be unveiled this September at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. In an interview with Australian magazine Motoring, Audi’s technical program manager Oliver Schol was asked when the higher specification Q7 will be unveiled and his answer was that we will “see it very soon”. This possibly means the vehicle will be introduced at IAA, with sales to commence shortly thereafter so deliveries will probably begin late this year.
The Audi SQ7 is expected to make use of a V8 turbodiesel engine equipped with e-turbo technology and with a displacement of 4.0 or 4.2 liters. The Ingolstadt-based automaker hasn’t said anything about the engine’s output but it is expected to churn in excess of 400 bhp (298 kW). This powerful hardware setup will enable the model to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 5.5 seconds before topping out at approximately 186 mph (300 km/h).
If a public debut at IAA is indeed planned, chances are Audi will reveal the SQ7 online towards the end of August.
