A few months back, Audi Sport released a line of Performance Parts for the Audi R8 and TT RS. These Performance Parts include both visual and mechanical upgrades, to make your car look more aggressive and feel it, too. Audi Sport has just debuted these upgrades for for the TT RS for the first time at the 2017 SEMA auto show.
For the Audi TT RS, a two-way adjustable coilover suspension setup is available, allowing it to handle even sharper than it already does. And being adjustable, owners can tailor their suspension for either the road or the track. There’s also a new brake setup to increase stopping power and stability on a track. Audi Sport also offers 20″ wheels with high-performance summer tires fitted to them. And all of that is on top of the visual upgrades, both inside and out.
Though, the upgrade we’re most interested in is the Akrapovic exhaust. The Audi TT RS already sounds epic, thanks to its brilliant 2.5 liter turbocharged I5 engine, which is one of the best sounding engines on the planet. So we’re interested to see what Akrapovic can do, being that, in our opinion, they make the best exhausts in the world.
The Audi TT RS makes 400 hp, thanks to its aforementioned five-pot engine, and sends its power through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to all four wheels. It’s capable of 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, which is stupid quick for such a small car. So it’s not a car that needed a ton of extra performance or aggression. But if you want your TT RS to have some more flair than normal and be a bit angrier, than these Audi Sport Performance Parts could be for you.
The best part about them, though, is that they’re installed by an Audi certified dealer, or you can have them installed during production, so you know they’ve been done properly. They also come installed with a full factory warranty, so there’s no voiding the warranty installing them, as going to an aftermarket tuner would do. If you want your Audi TT RS to look, feel and drive more aggressively while also being more capable on the track, Audi Sport Performance Parts are a no-brainer.
