Following last week’s reveal, the 2015 Audi R8 V10 Plus is now being feature in a video showing the evolutionary design. It will sit on top of the range thanks to an uprated V10 5.2 FSI naturally aspirated engine which in this application develops 610 HP (449 kW) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque. The supercar tips the scales at 3,205 lbs (1,454 kg) and needs a mere 3.2 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill prior to hitting a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
As you can clearly see from the attached video, the 2015 Audi R8 V10 Plus looks a lot like the old model but upon closer inspection you will notice the design is sharper and more angular which makes the supercar appear fresh and modern. It will be sold as standard with LED headlights whereas for more money clients will be able to select optional laser headlights that double the lighting range to no less than 600 meters.
It gets standard 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels wrapped around in 245/30 front and 305/30 rear tires while the stopping power is provided by carbon ceramic brakes. The Plus version can also be distinguished by a fixed rear wing made from CFRP – carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
As you would expect, it doesn’t come cheap as the 2015 Audi R8 V10 Plus carries a starting price in Germany of €187,400, with sales scheduled to commence this summer.
