Following yesterday’s walkaround video, Audi has released a new presentation clip for the long-awaited second-gen Q7.
The full-size SUV from Ingolstadt is back for a second generation which despite the familiar looks is substantially different than its predecessor. It’s not only up to 325 kg lighter compared to the model it replaces, but it’s also 37mm shorter and 15mm narrower while the drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.32.
Despite being smaller, the second-gen Q7 is actually roomier inside the cabin where there are an additional 21mm between the first & second rows of seats while headroom has been boosted by 41mm at the front and 23mm at the back. Inside the cabin there’s a fully digital 12.3-inch TFT customizable instrument cluster which works with the newest MMI infotainment system.
Support for Google’s Android Auto and Apple’s CarPlay is available while at an additional cost you will be able to configure the new Q7 with an impressive 23-speaker, 1,920-watt Bang & Olufsen Advanced Audio System with 3D Sound. Also extra is the rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.1-inch tablets running on Android and equipped with an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor. These tablets have 32GB of internal storage, a full HD camera and have LTE, Bluetooth and NFC support.
We remind you deliveries of the second-gen Q7 will commence sometime this summer in Europe.
