Audi has released a new promotional video for the recently introduced A1 facelift. The premium city car is being showcased in Monaco, described by the automaker as being “a playground for the rich and famous.” The car featured in this promo clip is equipped with an updated four-cylinder 1.6-liter TDI turbodiesel engine which delivers 116 HP (86 kW) between 1,500 rpm and 3,250 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm available in the 1,500 – 3,000 rpm range.
It will do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) journey in a more than decent 9.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). In terms of fuel consumption, you can imagine the A1 facelift 1.4 TDI is a frugal little car and it will consume just 3.5 to 3.7 liters / 100 km in the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions standing at 92 – 97 g/km.
Equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, this variant of the A1 carries a starting price in Germany of €20,300 for the three-door model while the five-door Sportback is a tad more expensive as it begins at €21,150.
As a final note, it should be mentioned that Audi has made the A1 facelift 0.8 inches (2 cm) longer than the previous version which means that it now measures 13.1 ft. (3.98 meters).
