Audi has announced March was the firm’s best month ever in terms of sales. Deliveries went up compared to March 2014 by 4.4% to approximately 177,950 cars and this achievement helped Audi sell no less than 438,250 cars in the first quarter of 2015. Following the great results posted in March, the German marque has established a new record by increasing sales for 63 months in a row.
The A3 family was one of the stars as sales increased by 43.8% while deliveries of the Audi Q3 rose by 9.6%. Moreover, the A6 jumped in popularity by 8.1% and Audi is estimating a hike in Q7 orders taking into consideration the second generation will hit dealerships in the following months.
In the first quarter of the year, Audi’s sales in United States went up by 13.8% to 40,098, helped by the March results which were 20% better than last year. The best-seller for Audi in U.S. was once again the Q5 which was purchased by 3,934 customers, representing a 17.2% increase. Great results were also posted in Brazil where Audi sold 63.9% more cars than in the same month of last year.
As far as Europe was concerned, Audi posted its best first quarter ever with sales up by 3.4% to 207,250 cars. Audi’s best month ever was also helped by South Korea where deliveries rose by 58.5% to 3,894 while in Australia they sold 15.3% more cars than March 2014.
