The Audi S8 Talladega developed by German tuner MTM has been put through its paces in a 0-280 km/h (0-174 mph) run. Audi is selling a fully-fledged RS8 but MTM has the next best thing, an S8 with the same twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine but upgraded from the series 520 HP (320 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) to no less than 760 HP (559 kW) and 945 Nm (697 lb-ft).
The high-performance German executive sedan was tested recently by AutoTopNL and the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) took only 3 seconds. The 0 to 93 mph (150 km/h) run was completed in 5.4 seconds while the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) journey took as little as 9.2 seconds. What’s perhaps the most impressive is the 0-155 mph (250 km/h) run which was achieved in a mere 14.8 seconds.
Only 25 units of the Audi S8 Talladega will ever be made by MTM and each car costs a whopping €189,708. The full-size performance sedan is able to reach a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h) which will be electronically capped as a move to protect the tires. The car also gets 21-inch Bimoto alloy wheels with 295/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, along with an aerodynamic body kit produced from carbon fiber.
