Independent car design Theophilus Chin has envisioned the Audi S3 Coupe which would be a worthy adversary for the BMW M235i. It was September 2012 when Audi introduced the three-door version of the S3 which was followed in February 2013 by the more practical five-door Sportback derivative. A month later, the four-door S3 Sedan came out while earlier this year in February we saw the S3 Cabriolet.
Now, Theophilus Chin has decided to apply the S3 treatment on a hypothetical Audi S3 Coupe version which would certainly be appreciated by those looking for a performance compact coupe and are not that fond of the M235i or other models in this niche. Such a version would have the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI turbocharged engine pumping out 300 PS (221 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque.
Performance figures of this imagined Audi S3 Coupe should mirror those of the three-door S3 which sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds when equipped with the S tronic gearbox or 5.4 seconds with the six-speed manual transmission. Top speed would be once again electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h) while curb weight would stand at somewhere in the region of 1,400 kg taking into account the three-door S3 tips the scales at 1,395 kg.
