Audi has released a new feature video with the S1 Sportback filmed while being driven through the beautiful Col de Turini. Embodying the pure definition of an automotive pocket rocket, the S1 is certainly one of the hottest supermini models available on sale today and you can get it in both three- and five-door versions. Seen here is the more practical Sportback variant featuring a more aggressive body incorporating larger bumpers, a quad exhaust system and a rear wing.
Despite being such a small car, Audi has managed to install beefy 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 215/40 R17 tires and for more money clients can even opt for 18-inch rims wrapped around in 225/35 R18. The vehicle filmed here in the French Alps boasts xenon plus headlights combined with LED taillights and also benefits from 310mm front disc brakes matched with red brake calipers that have the S1 logo.
Motivation of the Audi S1 Sportback is provided by a TFSI 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine unleashing 231 PS (170 kW) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque. All that power is channeled to both axles and allows the S1 Sportback to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds whereas the three-door S1 is 0.1 seconds quicker.
