“Audi Powerhouse” is the name for this special photoshoot session involving an Audi RS7 Sportback and an R8. The project was commissioned by Audi’s dealership in Vancouver, Canada and up to the task was Marcel Lech Photography who did a very good job at showcasing both high-powered vehicles. As you can see, the Audi duo shared a dark metallic grey exterior paint scheme highlighted by the dark theme selected by the professional photographer.
These two performance vehicles come equipped as standard with a quattro all-wheel drive system but the similarities end here as the Audi RS7 Sportback is motivated by a twin-turbo TFSI V8 4.0-liter engine with 560 PS (412 kW) whereas the R8 has a V10 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine outputting 525 PS 386 kW) or 550 PS (404 kW) in the more expensive „Plus” derivative.
The first to get a replacement is the range-topping R8 which will go into a second generation next year. It will carry over the 4.2 V8 and 5.2 V10 engines but these will be possibly joined by a TDI motor as well as an e-tron derivative which will be built to order. Also planned for the second-gen R8 is a smaller turbocharged gasoline engine but it won’t be available right away.
