You’ve probably seen your fair share of ABT RS6-R super wagons based on the latest generation, but we might have just found the most attractive. Auditography had the opportunity to immortalize this stunning Glacier White example with its contrasting carbon fiber exterior upgrades. The badges and quad exhaust tips feature a dark finish and further contribute to the white and black theme of Ingolstadt’s speedy Avant.
As denoted by the side sills, this Glacier White beast is just one of the only 125 cars converted to ABT’s RS6-R specification. Much like all of the others we’ve seen so far, it continues the carbon fiber theme on the inside, but without moving away too far from the OEM look. The Kempten-based tuner also throws in its own set of 22-inch alloy wheels with 285/30 R22 to nicely round off the visual upgrades.
The makers of a wild hybrid RS6-E with a little over 1,000 horsepower are not bringing out the big guns just yet as the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 doesn’t have a four-digit output. Instead, you “only” get around 740 horsepower and 920 Newton-meters (679 pound-feet) of torque. That’s still mind-boggling when you consider the RS6 Avant is a wagon at the end of the day.
As demonstrated in the video, the RS6 in Glacier White runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.27 seconds, which is essentially supercar territory when you think about it. Still not impressed? How about 10.44 seconds for the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) task? Flat out, the car will do an impressive 199 mph (320 km/h).
If wagons are not your thing, ABT is selling effectively the same package for the sleeker RS7 Sportback. That makes sense considering they’re really the same car, just in different body styles. The RS7-R is also limited to 125 units, but we’re willing to bet the German tuner is already cooking up additional hardcore versions of the two Audi Sport cars.
