An exquisite Audi RS6 Avant painted in Nardo Gray is currently on display in Germany at Audi Forum Neckarsulm. The properly hot wagon from Ingolstadt can be described as a supercar disguised into an all-wheel drive estate that will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds before topping out at 155 mph (250 km/h). For most people this would be enough but Audi is willing to jack up the limiter to 174 mph (280 km/h) if you get the optional Dynamic package while a 190 mph (305 km/h) is possible if configured with the Dynamic Plus package.
These performances don’t come cheap as the Audi RS6 Avant carries a steep starting price of €109,200 in Germany and if you want the special Nardo Gray paint you will have to pay more. Its heart and soul is a beefy V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine pushing out 560 PS (412 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system with help from an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox.
Fuel consumption doesn’t really matter on a car like this, but Audi has fitted the RS6 Avant with a cylinder-on-demand system which can shut down half of the cylinders whenever the additional power is not required. Thanks to this system and other enhancements, the model is about 40% more economical than its predecessor and can return 24 mpg (9.8 liters / 100 km) in the combined cycle.
