Audi RS6 Avant facelift finally arrives in South Africa

The Audi RS6 Avant has officially landed in South Africa where it carries a starting price of R 1,465,000.

Audi South Africa introduced the facelifted A6 range earlier this year and now they are ready to sell the icing on the cake, the RS6 Avant, with 412 kW and 700 Nm of torque on tap for a 0-100 km/h run in 3.9 seconds thanks to the beefy 4.0-liter V8 TFSI engine. It can be ordered with the optional dynamic package plus which raises the maximum speed to 305 km/h which represents supercar-like performance.

It rides on 21-nch wheels and manages to remain very practical as the trunk can hold up to 565 liters of cargo with the rear seats up and 1,680 liters once you fold them down. Aside from packing a lot of punch and being a versatile wagon, the RS6 Avant also has a very appealing design with a beefy RS-specific body that makes it stand out among high-performance wagons.

If you go for the aforementioned dynamic package plus, you also get dynamic steering, matrix beam headlights and the sports suspension plus with DRC. At an additional cost, the Audi RS6 Avant can be specified with lots of safety & assistance systems such as night vision, adaptive cruise control (with stop & go), head-up display and Audi side assist which uses radar sensors to check blind spots when changing lanes.

It can be ordered right away and comes as standard with a 5-year / 100,000 km warranty but you can upgrade to the bigger 6-year / 200,000 km plan.
