The high-powered Audi RS3 Sportback has gained some serious extra muscle courtesy of ABT Sportsline. Audi fanboys were disappointed when Mercedes-Benz unleashed the facelifted A45 AMG which stole the RS3’s power crown, but now there’s a response coming from an aftermarket specialist as ABT has given the beloved Sportback a power hike to 430 PS, which represents a serious gain compared to the series model’s 367 PS.
It’s the same story with the torque as the 5-cylinder, 2.5-liter turbo now churns a more than generous 530 Nm and these changes have enabled the RS3 to run the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.1 seconds, thus being 0.2 seconds faster than the standard model. ABT has also removed the 250 km/h top speed limiter which allows this custom RS3 to hit an impressive 285 km/h.
ABT says they have already commenced work on a stage 2 program that will increase the engine’s output even more. They are also providing the RS3 with a custom 19-inch set of wheels shod in Continental tires measuring 235/35 R19 on both axles.
Those who want to further customize their car can order ABT’s floor mats and even door entrance lights that show the tuner’s logo, but that might seem a bit tacky for some people.
