The Audi RS3 Sportback has returned in additional official images, this time depicting an appealing Sepang Blue example. It is programmed to go on sale in March and will start arriving at customers in the summer but it won’t be cheap as according to unofficial data it will carry a starting price of €56,600 at home in Germany.
Audi is describing their new RS3 as being a “world-beating car” thanks to the iconic five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at no less than 367 HP and a maximum torque of 465 Nm. Power is channeled to a quattro all-wheel drive system through a 7-speed S tronic transmission granting the hot hatchback with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 4.3 seconds before topping out at an electronically-capped 155 mph (250 km/h). If that’s not enough, clients can pay more to ask Audi to raise the limiter to 174 mph (280 km/h).
It is unknown at the moment whether Audi will sell the RS3 in a sedan version although it could happen as the company has previewed the model through the A3 clubsport quattro concept.
