Audi Deutschland has released what they describe as being an “emotion trailer” for the RS3 Sportback. It features not one, but two cars playing on the snow in Finland and one of them wears a Sepang Blue paint while the other has a white livery suitable for the 2015 Audi Winter Driving Experience.
The model hasn’t gone on sale yet as Audi will open the order books in the first quarter of the year, with a rumored starting price at home in Germany of €56,600 so it will be a lot more expensive than the S3 Sportback which begins from €40,400. Deliveries will commence sometime in the summer to those willing to pay the hefty price tag and in return they will get an all-wheel drive hot hatchback featuring a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine which is one of the most praised motors ever produced by Audi.
In this latest application it has been upgraded to deliver an impressive 367 HP and 465 Nm of torque channeled to both axles via a seven-speed S tronic transmission granting the RS3 Sportback with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h) but at an additional cost Audi is willing to bump the limiter to 174 mph (280 km/h).
Audi will offer the RS3 only in the five-door Sportback but it is believed a four-door sedan variant will be introduced at one point.
