Audi RS Q8 Configurator is Live on Audi USA

Just like the Audi RS6 Avant from a couple of days ago, the all-new, first-ever Audi RS Q8 can be configured to your liking on Audi USA’s website. Whereas the RS6 Avant has never been sold in the ‘States until now, the Audi RS Q8 has never been sold at all until now. Anyone looking for an uber-performance SUV should be very intrigued right now.

Taking a quick look at the Audi RS Q8 on the configurator and you’ll see that it’s pretty straight forward. There aren’t a ton of options or packages to choose from and none of the ones that are there are all that surprising. Even the color choices aren’t great, which is a shame. Why isn’t that awesome green from the LA Auto Show reveal in the list of normal color options?

During my configuration, I chose Matador Red as my exterior color, as it was really the only interesting color option that wasn’t Navarra Blue. I also opted for the 22″ wheels, as the 23″ options are just not good looking. Inside, there are your typical four Audi color options, black with red stitching, black with gray stitching, black with black stitching or cognac leather with gray stitching. I know, exciting stuff.

I also chose the gray oak wood interior trim, rather than carbon fiber because carbon fiber is just fancy plastic and has no place in car interiors.

As for options and packages, there are a few but they’re mostly predictable. For instance, you have your usual Executive Package, Black Optics Package and a Carbon Ceramic Brake Package. There are different options for the color of the brake calipers, so that’s interesting. Sort of.

Still, despite the lack of customization, the Audi RS Q8 is a cool SUV. It packs a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque and also set the lap record for SUVs at the Nurburgring. So its likability speaks for itself. Go build yours now.
