Audi has also unveiled today the facelifted 2015 S6 and RS6 Avant models together with the rest of the updated A6 family. The hotter S6 and S6 Avant models get just about the same styling tweaks as the more tamed versions and can be had at an additional cost with optional LED or matrix LED headlights equipped with dynamic turn signals.
At the heart of these two models is a V8 4.0 TFSI bi-turbo engine rated at 450 PS (331 kW) which is enough to allow the S6 sedan reach 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds while the S6 Avant will do it in 4.6 seconds. As far as fuel consumption is concerned, the sedan drinks 9.2 liters / 100 km whereas the wagon is 0.2 liters thirstier, with CO2 emissions standing at 214 g/km and 219 g/km, respectively. Both models benefit from cylinder on demand system which turns off four of the cylinders when under part load.
Moving onto the RS6 Avant beast, this one has the same engine but tweaked to unleash 560 PS and rewards owners with a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds and a 305 km/h top speed. It manages to remain quite frugal as the high-performance wagon has an average fuel consumption of 9.6 liters / 100 km and 223 g/km of CO2 emissions.
The cheapest 2015 S6 starts at 75,400 euros and those who want the RS6 Avant will have to pay at least 108,900 euros.
