Audi Red Boot Rally to raise money for biggest ever Ronald McDonald House

Audi Australia Pty Ltd and Audi Centre Gold Coast have joined forces to support the Audi Red Boot Rally to raise funds Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland (RMH SEQ) and its new South Brisbane House. During 23 – 25 September, there will be 18 teams plus support teams participating in an “Amazing Race”-styled rally and each team has to pay an entry fee of $15,000 to help the cause. The captain of the team that manages to raise the most funds will have the first choice of vehicle, including the RS6 Avant and the R8.

For this year’s Audi Red Boot Rally event, some of the most important sporting names in Australia will participate, including Gorden Tallis, Scott Prince, Spida Everitt and Russell Ingall. The world’s largest Ronald McDonald House facilities are currently under construction and should be ready by mid-2016, with 13 levels and accommodating 450 people each night, providing support services for seriously ill children and their families.

On each day of the rally, the teams will use various performance cars from Audi and will have to rely on drive notes to find out how to arrive to the next destination. Once the teams arrive at the destination, there’s going to be a team challenge in order to obtain the next set of notes. Points will be given for each challenge and at the end of the rally the overall winner with the highest number of points will be announced.
