A brand new 2015 Audi R8 V10 Plus was spotted on the roads of Karlsruhe in Germany. It was only yesterday when we saw Audi’s range-topping supercar in Sweden and now another one was seen closer to the model’s home where it will carry a starting price of €187,400 in this higher specification variant. It’s easy to notice this is a Plus version as it has the carbon fiber rear wing, larger 20-inch wheels and also benefits from carbon ceramic disc brakes.
Its heart and soul is the same V10 5.2-liter naturally aspirated engine from the previous generation but it has been extensively updated and now is able to churn a massive 610 HP and 560 Nm. It’s enough grunt to allow the Audi R8 V10 Plus hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in only 3.2 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
Audi has previously announced the second generation R8 lineup (V10, V10 Plus and e-tron) are programmed to go on sale in the second half of the year. The base model costs €165,000 whereas pricing for the fully electric e-tron model has not been disclosed, but chances are it will cost way over €200,000.
