Audi R8 V10 Plus makes public debut in Geneva

After seeing the standard Audi R8 V10 in the metal yesterday in Geneva, now time has come to have a closer look at the range-topping R8 V10 Plus version. It will be available right away unlike in the first generation when the Plus model came out later during the car’s lifespan. Its heart and soul has remained the same FSI 5.2-liter V10 normally aspirated gasoline engine but in this latest application it has been upgraded to develop a massive 610 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque.

The supercar from Ingolstadt weighs 3,205 lbs (1,454 kg) and will conquer the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in only 3.2 seconds before hitting a maximum speed of 205 mph (330 km/h). It rides on 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in 245/30 front and 305/30 rear tires while stopping power is provided by carbon fiber ceramic discs.

The Audi R8 V10 Plus also comes as standard with clear-coated carbon fiber side blades, diffuser and front splitter while for more money it can be configured with an optional Audi phone box as well as a Bang & Olufsen 500-watt audio system.

Audi says the range-topping R8 will go on sale this summer and it will carry a starting price of €187,400.
