The German tuners at mcchip-dkr have converted a first generation Audi R8 V10 into a GT3 LMS beast. Work started on the outside where the supercar went through a series of upgrades as most of the body panels have been replaced with LMS-like items manufactured from carbon fiber, such as the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, as well as the massive front splitter and the prominent rear wing. Needless to say, the fenders have also been significantly widened while the stock wheels were replaced with much bigger ones wrapped around in a set of fat tires.
Other upgrades on the menu include the KW Competition 3 coilover set while the interior cabin has been stripped out to shave off excess weight. Needless to say, mcchip-dkr also focused on the V10 5.2-liter engine which is no longer naturally aspirated as the tuner slapped on a big supercharger which has boosted output to a whopping 850 bhp.
The additional oomph was possible also by installing a custom Capristo exhaust system, high-end pistons, sport manifolds and air filters, along with a special intercooler and other similar bits and pieces to turn this R8 into one of the most heavily customized cars out there while maintaining its road-legal status.
