A lovely first generation Audi R8 Spyder finished in Teak Brown Metallic is the star of a special exhibition at Audi Forum Neckarsulm.
The open-top supercar will be on display until October 15, so you would better hurry up to see this V8 version which looks very distinctive thanks to the special paint matched with an equally interesting soft top. The matte body finish certainly makes this R8 Spyder stand out and proves the supercar’s design is basically timeless as even after all these years the model still looks fresh and appealing.
The R8 Spyder is not on sale anymore as Audi is putting the finishing touches on a second generation which will have a lot in common with the recently introduced Lamborghini Huracan Spyder. Unlike this V8-powered version, the new model will come exclusively with the V10 5.2-liter motor and it will be interesting to see whether Audi has plans to offer a pure electric e-tron as they do with the coupe.
Expect to see the new Audi R8 Spyder to be officially introduced at a major auto event next year, possibly in March at the Geneva Motor Show or early October in Paris. The evolutionary styling means it will still have a timeless design which will keep the car’s aesthetics relevant for many years to come.
