The 2014 Audi R8 LMX has made a comeback in a new video providing footage that you usually see in video games. The model’s is billed as the fastest production car equipped with laser headlights and will be produced in a limited series of 99 units, with pricing in Germany kicking off at €210,000. Its heart and soul is the familiar V10 5.2-liter naturally aspirated engine delivering 570 HP and a maximum torque of 540 Nm to a quattro all-wheel drive arrangement through a seven-speed S tronic gearbox.
All cars will be painted in Ara Blue and will have a fixed rear wing as well as carbon fiber flics. It can also be distinguished by its carbon fiber ceramic brakes, glossy black tailpipes and unique 19-inch rims while inside it gets Fine Nappa leather upholstery, Ara Blue accents, illuminated door sill plates, matte carbon fiber trim, Alcantara headliner and Sepang Blue contrast stitching.
As far as performances are concerned, the 2014 Audi R8 LMX needs only 3.4 seconds to cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run before hitting a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
Audi kicked off deliveries of the R8 LMX this summer and now they are preparing to start production of the R8 competition, another special edition which probably serves as the supercar’s swan song as the second generation has already been confirmed for a 2015 launch.
