Well-known prankster Dennis Roady decided to have some fun at the expense of the product specialists at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, including those who were in charge of of an Audi R8. It’s not that easy to obtain the necessary credential to participate at a major car show such as NAIAS but Roady managed to acquire the rights to join the show and he came up with the idea to set up a prank using a smartphone app called “Dude, Your Car.”
Available exclusively for iOS, the app allows users to take photos of cars and then edit the pics by adding fake dents and scratches. Roady did just that on an Audi R8, Mercedes-Maybach S600, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe and a Dodge Challenger, Obviously, at first the product specialists were very upset when Roady showed them the modified images but started smiling and laughing after seeing that the cars are safe and sound without any scratches or other defects.
After pulling this prank, chances are that Dennis Roady will not get the credentials for next year’s North American International Auto Show and his actions could ban him from other major car shows as well.
