Following last week’s announcement, the lesser version of the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI has arrived in United Kingdom at a starting price of £47,755 OTR. It’s already available on order and will start reaching customers sometime in October while those who want more power can order the 272 PS version which begins at £51,250 OTR.
This entry-level version is still a reputable SUV as its V6 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine pushes out 500 Nm between 1,250 rpm and 3,000 rpm channeled to a quattro all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission. This hardware setup grants a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in a decent 7.3 seconds and a 134 mph (215 km/h) top speed.
It can be ordered in SE and S line versions and promises to return up to 48.7 mpg UK with corresponding CO2 emissions of 150 g/km. These numbers are applicable for the version equipped with the 20-inch wheel upgrade but those that come with 18-inch rims return 49.6 mpg UK and emit 148 g/km.
Both the SE and S line come as standard with LED daytime running lights while the SE’s Xenon plus headlights are replaced on the S line version by LEDs. At an additional cost, matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals can be specified, along with plenty of other kit such as a Bang & Olufsen sound system, detachable touchscreen tablets for the rear entertainment system and also an adaptive air suspension.
