Audi Q5 finds its end in a Dutch canal

The Audi Q5 crossover is far from being an affordable car so you can imagine the day this driver had when he ended up with the vehicle in a canal in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The good news is he managed to get out of the Q5 without suffering any injuries, although he took an unexpected bath into what was probably a very cold water.

Details about why the accident happened are not available at this point but since the driver wasn’t under influence, chances are he was simply distracted by something and didn’t pay proper attention to where he was going and ended up in this rather funny yet highly costly situation.

Aside from suffering extensive water damage, the Audi Q5 also sustained some serious damages at the front as the hood was deformed and the windshield also took a heavy blow. The roof also appears to be a little bit bent at the front but it doesn’t really matter since the car is probably a write-off taking into account water damage is one of the worst things that could happen to an automobile, regardless of maker and model. In most cases insurance companies declare the cars totaled since it would be more expensive to fix the car than to pay the insured sum.
