According to Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, the Audi Q3 facelift is going to be launched in November or December. Reports about the second generation Q3 due in 2018 are already surfacing the web but we still haven’t seen the facelift version of the current generation. We won’t have to wait that long as Hackenberg who is member of the Board of Management of Audi AG and head of Audi’s Technical Development told IndianAutosBlog the refreshed crossover will be unveiled next month or in December.
In terms of visual tweaks, the changes will be moderate at best as the compact premium crossover will adopt an evolutionary design with some modifications to the bumpers, headlights along with different dual exhaust tips. Moreover, subtle updates of the interior cabin are also expected to keep the model fresh and competitive in a very popular segment.
As far as the engine lineup is concerned, the Audi Q3 facelift will likely carry over the motors from the current variant and will be topped once again by the RS Q3 equipped with a five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 310 HP and a maximum torque of 420 Nm sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system. It enables the hot crossover sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 5.5 seconds before topping out at 155 mph (250 km/h).
