Audi has published a couple of additional renders with the stunning Prologue Avant concept scheduled to premiere next week at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Last time we saw design sketches of the concept and now we have more revealing renders depicting what will basically be an Avant version of the 2014 Prologue concept.
This concept will likely see the light of production day before the end of the decade and chances are it will act as a direct competitor for the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake. Expect the production version to get a different name and could be slotted within the next-gen A7 family since the model will likely utilize the A6/A7 platform.
The company’s head of design Marc Lichte was in charge of drawing the Prologue Avant concept and he said the next generation A6’s styling has already been completed. We wouldn’t be too surprised if the production variant of this concept is almost done and we could see it sometime in 2018 if we were to believe sources close to Ingolstadt.
If green-lighted for production, expect the car to command a significant premium over the A6 Avant which will likely be out in 2017 since the A6 Sedan is programmed for a 2016 release.
