Audi of America has announced September was the 45th consecutive month of record US sales. The company’s deliveries last month increased by 14.2 percent to 14,917 units while the year-to-date sales have jumped by 14.5 percent to 130,983 cars. During the first nine months of the year, Audi’s US division managed to sell almost the same quantity of cars they delivered in 2012.
One of the stars in Audi’s lineup is the Q3 compact crossover which made its debut in September when it was purchased by 1,092 customers. Sales of the A3-based models stood at 2,340 cars while both the Q5 and Q7 year-to-date sales went up by 5.3 percent and 21.7 percent, respectively.
Besides this record US sales, September also represents the company’s 14th consecutive month of record sales for certified pre-owned vehicles as Audi managed to sell 29.6 percent more cars, raising the total to 3,866 units while year-to-date sales of Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) saw a 18.8 percent increase.
Based on a competitive sales report issued by MotorIntelligence, Audi has the longest running monthly record sales streak in the premium segment. The company’s sales numbers are likely to further increase in the months to come with the arrival of the third generation TT Coupe and Convertible which will both be shown starting tomorrow at the Paris Motor Show.
