Audi officially denies plans for Formula 1 entry

Audi has ruled out the possibility of entering Formula 1 in the foreseeable future. Even though there were some rumors about a partnership between Audi and Red Bull for an F1 participation, it won’t happen as Audi’s chief executive Rupert Stadler said it’s not going to happen while an Audi spokesman declared “This is not a topic for us.” In addition, German daily Handelsblatt quoted Stadler who apparently said “Formula 1 needs to solve its problems on its own.”

The speculations surrounding Audi’s entry in F1 were fueled last week when British magazine Auto Express cited Stadler who said “in life you must keep things open” after being asked whether there are some chances of seeing the company with the four rings in Formula 1.
