Audi obtains second WEC win this year at Spa

Audi has obtained the second WEC win of this season in Belgium on the famed Spa circuit. Marcel Fässler (CH), André Lotterer (D) and Benoît Tréluyer (F) managed to win their second race this season and the tenth WEC success in total at Spa, right in front of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management, Technical Development, AUDI AG. They now have a 14-point lead before the most important race of the season, the Le Mans 24 Hours scheduled for June 13 and 14.

Driving the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, the trio managed to complete 176 laps and was followed by the Porsche driven by Dumas/Jani/Lieb who were 13.424s slower. Albuquerque/Bonanomi/Rast in the second R18 were two laps behind the winners and took home fourth place while di Grassi/Duval/Jarvis were eight laps slower and had to settle with seventh place.
