Audi most successful brand in Auto Trophy 2015

Every year, German magazine Auto Zeitung holds its annual Auto Trophy awards and gives out certain awards for vehicles in each segment. This year, Audi is the most successful brand in the Auto Trophy awards, winning five different trophies, more than any other brand. “We have come out on top with four models – from the compact Audi A1, through the A3, to the full-size SUV model Audi Q7 and the supercar Audi R8. We are truly delighted at the readers’ decision, which confirms we are offering highly attractive automobiles with top design in every segment. On that basis, we can also be confident about the continuing success of the Audi model initiative,” commented Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, at this afternoon’s awards ceremony at the Hamburg Cruise Center Altona.

Those four cars, the Audi A1, A3, Q7 and R8, all won individual awards, but Audi also won a special award, the Best Design Worldwide. This is huge for a brand that’s in desperate need of some good publicity, as it’s been struggling with the press lately, thanks to VW Group’s diesel issues. Audi also has more stiff competition than ever, making these trophies all the more impressive.

Congratulations to Audi, for winning such prestigious awards, and let’s hope the good work continues. The new Q7 is setting Audi up for a nice lead in the full-size SUV segment and the new Audi A4 should put Audi right in contention with the new Jaguar XE and BMW 3 Series. Hopefully, by next year, the new A4 will win one of these awards as well.

I've been in love with cars since I was a kid, specifically German cars. Now I get to drive them talk about them on the internet.
