Audi’s Japan division is launching a limited-run A8 L Chauffeur special edition. There’s not much going on outside as we only notice the black body paint and a set of 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels featuring a 10Y spoke design which makes the full-size sedan from Ingolstadt to look very elegant. As you would expect, most of the tweaks have occurred inside the luxurious cabin which has been pampered with a Marble Gray leather upholstery while in the back there are two individual seats.
Passengers sitting in the rear can take advantage of the bar compartment and cool box which have both been installed between the seats. There’s also an adjustable reading light which will prove to be useful on longer journeys.
There aren’t any modifications underneath that long hood as the Audi A8 L Chauffeur has the familiar V8 4.0-liter TFSI turbocharged gasoline engine producing 435 hp and a generous peak torque of 600 Nm. Output is channeled to a quattro all-wheel drive system with help from a tiptronic transmission.
Audi Japan says this special edition costs ¥15,640,000 and only five units will ever be made.
