Audi City organized several days ago a preview event for the all-new 2015 R8 in London, United Kingdom. The supercar is currently on display at the Geneva Motor Show but it was brought to Mayfair at an event which included several VIPs such as Douglas Booth, Nick Manson, Emanuele Pirro and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Deliveries of the 2015 R8 in UK are going to commence towards the end of the year, with prices of the base model kicking off at £119,500 whereas the more expensive and lighter Plus model begins at £137,500.
The price for the fully electric 2015 R8 e-tron has not been disclosed but we estimate it will be substantially more expensive than the R8 V10 Plus, especially taking into consideration Audi has already announced the electric supercar will be built to order. It’s not known at this point whether this e-tron derivative of Ingolstadt’s new supercar will even make it to UK but more details should be released in the weeks to come.
There are some rumors indicating Audi will introduce a new entry-level version of the R8 in the future which will be powered by a V6 engine developing at least 400 bhp. There are also some rumors about a TDI variant but nothing is official at this point.
