Audi highlights their presence at the 2014 Paris Motor Show

The 2014 Paris Motor Show is in full swing and Audi has decided to launch a video highlighting their most important products exhibited at the show. One of the starts of the event is the TT Roadster which has joined the range following the TT Coupe’s launch earlier this year. It comes with a power-folding fabric roof (3 kg lighter than before) available in titanium gray, black or jive which can be opened or closed in 10 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). Engine lineup is carried over from the fixed roof sibling.

Also at the auto event in France’s capital is the refreshed A6 lineup which brings a few subtle styling tweaks along with two ultra-badged models using a 1.8 TFSI and a 2.0 TDI mated to a newly developed S tronic transmission. The 2.0 TDI model comes bundled with glass fiber-reinforced polymer springs that shave off 4.4 kg. The gasoline version has a fuel consumption of 5.7 liters / 100 km whereas the diesel needs only 4.2 liters / 100 km.

The Audi A6 facelift can also be had with a 3.0 TDI clean diesel rated at 218 HP and 272 HP in the single turbo configuration and with 320 HP for the bi-turbo variant. The A6 & A6 Avant 3.0 TDI competition versions pack the same engine but with 326 HP (346 HP for a limited amount of time).

Perhaps the star of the 2014 Paris Motor Show at Audi’s booth is the TT Sportback concept which could serve as a preview for a four-door TT. The vehicle is 29cm longer than the regular version (at 4.47 meters), 6cm wider (at 1.89 meters) and 3cm lower (at 1.38 meters) while the wheelbase is 12cm longer (at 2.63 meters).

Power of the Audi TT Sportback concept is provided by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine outputting 400 HP and 450 Nm of torque delivered to the quattro system via a seven-speed S tronic. Thanks to this hardware setup, the vehicle needs only 3.9 seconds to cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint.
