The all-new Audi A4 B9 is being showcased these days at the 2015 Berlin Fashion Trade Show in Germany. For this year’s edition, Audi has decided to promote a creative dialog between designers belonging to several disciplines so “colorfully mixed teams” will tackle a variety of design tasks and will work on different subjects like “modularity vs. functionality” and “emotionalization vs. technologization.” The results of the teams will then be displayed at the Audi stand where visitors will be able to check them out.
Audi says this exchange will allow them to identify future trends in materials and colors while Dutch FashionTech artist Anouk Wipprecht will demonstrate the relation between fashion and automotive design. She says the design process of the all-new Audi A4 B9 involved elaborating a new car from a silhouette, just like her dresses “relate the history of an evolution wherein an initial concept comes alive through elements of the car.”
Anouk Wipprecht’s also said that her new collection has elements taken from the new Audi A4, such as the diamond-shaped forms at the front end as well as the screen view of the virtual cockpit which in the new A4 is fully digital and has a 12.3-inch diagonal.
